Retention of tasks and data

Tasks are not kept indefinitely. A task that has not been accessed for 45 days is deleted automatically, together with everything belonging to it: the data files uploaded to it, the descriptions of those files, and any allocations run on it. This cannot be undone.

14 days before a task is deleted, we email everyone associated with it — the address the task was created with, and any accounts the task has been linked to — with a link to the task. Simply opening the task is enough to keep it: doing so resets the 45 days. A task is only deleted once everyone associated with it has been sent such an email, at least 14 days beforehand. If several of your tasks are due at the same time, you will receive a single email listing them all.
